As summer is wrapping up, and temperatures in July + August set to be around high 80's all the way up to 100°, here's some events that may cool you down:
1. Float the Boise River
Float the Boise River with friends and family and have multiple options of renting a 4-person, 6-person, or individual tubes, or bring your own tube and equipment to pump up your rafts and bring life-jackets to safely ride along the river in an easy, 2 hour stream. But don't wait now, if you want to rent a tube or raft, it's first come first serve!
2. Alive After 5 - Summer Concert Series
The Summer Concert Series is back, in the Grove Plaza! This event if free for all ages stating June 15th and runs all summer long on select dates throughout June, July, and August from 5-8pm. Not only is this a fun concert series, to go too, but also a good opportunity to donate to local non-profit organizations like Catch Idaho & Boise Bicycle Project. Click Here for more information!
3. The Art of Deco - The Idaho State Museum
For the next five months, the Idaho State Museum will showcase art deco, which was popular in the 1920's and 30's as this style was popularly used as geometric shapes, stylized figures, and lots of decoration! The Art of Deco happens every second Saturday of each month at The Idaho State Museum, so be sure to check out their website.
4. Sparklight Movie Nights
Grab your popcorn, because the City of Meridian hosts outdoor movie nights every Friday! Join at Settlers Park for this ongoing, Summer event! The screen will be set up by 7pm, and the movie will start playing at dusk. Some movies for summer include, Cars, Sing 2, and Aladdin!
5. The Village - Axiom Yoga
Need some peace and quiet? The Axiom gym in The Village has you covered! Join Axiom for some "Yoga on the Green" every Saturday from 9am-10am from June 4th to August 27th. All you need is a yoga mat, a water bottle, & to wear comforable clothes.
6. Bogus Basin Summer Activies
Enjoy the beauty of the mountains while riding some of the coolest attractions at Bogus Basin! Grab yor bikes and ride in one of the fastest growing bike parks in Idaho, or zoom through the mountains on the Glade Runner Mountain Coaster. 7. Jump, Jam, and Jive!
If one concert series wasn't enough, JUMP! has you covered! you can look foward to two perfomance groups each week at the JUMP ampitheatre downtown Boise starting June 7th to September 13th. Purchase food, grab some craft beer, wine, and water, and maybe even plan on stopping at your favorite downtown shops before or after the show!
8. Outlaw Field Concert Series
Join the Botanical Garden every week for frequent concerts in the beautiful sun. Be sure to see who's playing and the dates coming up to buy tickets!
9. Sip - Local Wine Bingo
Summer is the perfect opportunity to sip your way through Idaho with wine + cider - all while exploring new activities. Just stop by any paticipating location to pick up a chilled bottle of wine and cross it off your bingo card! Be sure to contact Idaho Wines to pick up your bingo card by September 30th!
10. Enjoy the Fresh Air
There are many hiking areas in the Treasure Valley for both hiking and relaxing. The two most popular of course are Table Rock and Camel's Back Park. Enjoy some fresh air, while hiking Table Rock and enjoy the view of Boise's Metropolitan Area, or grab a blanket, some of your favorite snacks, and enjoy a nice evening relaxing.
